When you feel pain in your body, do not jump to take drugs to deal with it. The pain can be appeased with food consumption, but there are some specific foods that can aggravate pain conditions.

Inflammation is a major cause of pain in a variety of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis. And there is some evidence to suggest that certain foods can help relieve inflammation.

1. Salmon
Salmon contains omega-3 fatty acids which are known to protect the heart, the compound may also help relieve pain and prevent inflammation. Studies show that omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oils can protect someone from rheumatoid arthritis and may reduce the severity of the disease.

2. olive oil
Olive oil works the same way as a potentially omega-3s reduce inflammation of the joints that are painful. A compound, called oleocanthal, which give a sense of the olive oil, may have the same effect on the body as aspirin, ibuprofen and other pain relief medication.

3. Turmeric
Turmeric is often used to add flavor and a creamy yellow color on the food, but it can also provide protection against the pain. Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric have anti-inflammatory properties, although whereof is very low.

4. Milk
Some research suggests dairy products are good for rheumatoid arthritis, but for people who are allergic to milk protein casein on possible can worsen swelling of joints if drinking milk.

On the other hand, a study which was carried out against nearly 30,000 women in Iowa found that people who consume high levels of vitamin D through a variety of dairy products have a lower risk of rheumatoid arthritis. Vitamin D may have an anti-inflammatory effect in the body.

The onion contains phytochemicals that can reduce inflammation. One study found that the onion is also equipped with quercetin, a compound that is found which function as mediators of the anti-inflammatory effect. Onions have also been known to have some anti-cancer properties.

6. garlic
Like shallots, garlic also has certain properties that can relieve the pain. Garlic also has phytochemicals that can turn off the inflammatory pathway in rats, which is effect is similar to that of ibuprofen.

7. berries
This fruit contains phytochemicals known as anthocyanins, which also offers anti-inflammatory benefits. Anthocyanins are responsible for the color blue, red and purple life appears in a variety of berries.

8. Broccoli and other vegetables
A study found that people who regularly consumed vegetables, have a lower risk of inflammation to 61 percent compared to people who do not eat vegetables at all.
