Apparently Daydreaming Improves Memory Work And Creativity 

The habit of daydreaming was often considered bad and often prohibited. However, recent studies have thus proved, the habit of daydreaming had a positive impact, among others, stimulate creativity and improve the work of memory.

Recent studies in the journal of Psychology shows that letting your mind "float" or imagine something and make you be lulled by reverie of good impact on the creative process yourself.
