Quickly get married not only bring their own happiness for the couple. Beyond that, any mental health so his bonus.
A new study has found that marriage gives a positive effect for women. Researchers found that pregnant women who are already binding on the promise of marriage is much less likely to suffer from depression than those who are post birth just living together with a partner as much happening abroad.
Research conducted on more than 6,000 women looking for the risk and benefits of marriage. Researchers found women who lived with a partner but are not married are also more likely to experience domestic violence and/or substance abuse. The less time living together, the higher the risk.
Research leader, Dr. Marcelo Urquia of the University of Toronto, Canada said, "we do not see the pattern among married women, who experience fewer psychosocial problems, regardless of the length of time they live together with their spouse."
The study found that 10.6% of women married was suffering from postpartum depression, as reported by Dailymail. The figure increased to 20% for women who just lived with the couple and 35% for single women. Most dramatically, the figure rises to 67% for women who are separated or divorced before birth.
"We cannot recommend the person to marry, that is their choice. But this study suggests that people who are committed to marry has several characteristics that make them different from others, and the characteristics of the protective role of psycho-social well-being, "says Dr. Urquia which his research published in the American Journal of Public Health.
